- Tae Seragaki collapses from overwork and dislocates her hip due to her age, resulting her grandson having to carry her home on his back. She recovers after a few days.
- Noiz breaks into Aoba’s house and gets into a fight with Koujaku or Clear (Depending on the route). Despite Noiz and Koujaku being gang leaders, she is able to get them to stop fighting by yelling at them and a hard hit to each of their heads. Poor Aoba gets conked on the head too. She then has them all eat her delicious cooking and civilly sit at the dinner table.
- Morphine (specifically Mizuki) kidnaps Tae by gagging her and dragging her into the car. Her kidnapping forces Aoba and all of his love interests to work together.
- They track her down to the North District’s trash processing facility. After fighting Morphine members in the warehouse, Aoba runs out to see a mind-controlled Mizuki. Mizuki offers to have Aoba join his team but when Aoba refuses him, he grabs Tae and holds a knife to her throat. Tae says nothing like this, and while in pain, she ‘puts on an expression of acceptance’. She is saved after Aoba breaks Mizuki using the power of Scrap.
- After recovering, she thanks Aoba and his friends and explains to Aoba about Morphine, Toue. Inc and Aoba’s Scrap. In detail here.
- Tae finally holds off the police that Toue sent while Aoba and those helping him escaped.

Personality:

"Get a grip already!! You stupid grandson!!!”

When the DRAMAtical Murder protagonist first gets home, before he can even finish announcing his presence, we are introduced to Tae Seragaki with her loud, thunderous voice. Despite being a rather tiny woman, standing at 5 feet and 1 inch (and weighing very little, as Aoba comments when he carries her on his back), Tae is a woman who has her presence well known. She’s a strong, independent woman who hates having people worried about her, and tells everyone they’re overreacting when she fell and dislocated her hip.

Tae is very direct in her speech, and tells things how they are. While she loves Aoba very much, she isn't afraid to tell him he's wrong, stupid or careless. Like a typical nagging old grandma, Tae yells her concerns and makes sure she's heard (interestingly, she never yells out her own opinion, just her concerns towards others). She can be positively brutal with how direct she is, even if she doesn't mean to, seen most notably when she tells Aoba outright that he could have saved Mizuki from his mind-control instead of shattering it if he had thought of the right thing to say to him. She lectures Aoba and his best friend constantly, though both of them know that's just how she shows she cares aside from cooking. Tae uses her delicious cooking to show she cares when she's not yelling and just being grumpy, seen when Koujaku comes over unexpectedly. While Tae rants on how he just shows up to her house as if it's his own, she still cooks a luxurious meal for him (though she claims that the ingredients were going to expire soon anyway when she is thanked for her hospitality). The narration text also comments that she sees Koujaku as a second grandson, since he's often over.

Though her demeanour would not suggest it, Tae has a big heart, and has been like that her entire life. Tae is a woman who loves her family, and is the type of woman who understands family doesn’t have to be by blood. She tends to take in people who don’t have a place to go, and her own family is not at all related. Her ‘daughter’ Haruka was the child of a distant relative who had a terrible home life, and Tae took her in as her own daughter. Haruka eventually met her husband, Nain, wanted to leave and travel away from Midorijima, and while Tae didn’t approve, she knew that Haruka was happy with Nain and gave her her blessings. Fate seemed to want Aoba in Tae’s life, and Nain and Haruka adopted Aoba, the same boy that Tae had left in the church, in the same way that Tae adopted Haruka. Since Haruka and Nain didn’t take Aoba with them when they traveled, Tae often cared for Aoba alone, something she never complained about, even when Midorijima was effectively locked down by Toue, and Aoba’s parents were not be able to return.

Despite Tae's desire to raise Aoba, and her love for him, she did end up busy due to work during parts of his life, and was absent for Aoba's Rhyme days. However, Tae has been incredibly loving and supportive, always caring for Aoba throughout his life, whether it be carrying him home on her back to calm him down when he was a child or letting him lie in her lap while he was passed out as an adult. It is seen that she is rather protective of Aoba, and while she wanted to find a good time to tell Aoba about his powers and the knowledge that Aoba (before he lost his memories) had been using Scrap, she kept knowledge of it away from him until she absolutely had to. That is not to say she cages Aoba in her protectiveness, on the contrary, she gives him a lot of freedom, especially upon telling him about his powers when she trusts Aoba to do what is right and forge his own path.

Tae is furiously intelligent, and she always uses this intelligence in order to care for others. Twenty years prior to the game's timeline, Tae worked for Toue as one of his original scientists in order to help people with brain damage. She was an incredibly dedicated neural scientist, and specialised in the brain’s plasticity. However, Tae’s morals far outweighed her dedication to her work and upon learning that her research that was being used to genetically engineer children that could control other human’s brains, and that this research had lead to the death of a child, she abandoned her life’s work and took the corpse of the then pronounced-dead Aoba with her to give him a proper funeral. She left Aoba in a local church to be raised there and moved back to her home town, at first not taking the revived child in because of guilt. Back in Tae’s hometown, Tae didn’t stop helping people, and worked as an informal home doctor, gaining a medical license to distribute prescriptions. She also helped out in the local hospital as the local hospital was small, cramped, understaffed, under-equipped, and always busy. Interestingly enough, it is hinted that she also made some of the medicines, specifically the one made for suppressing the headaches caused by Aoba’s Scrap, thereby giving Tae additional proficiency in pharmacology, which she no doubt used to help others.

She is an incredibly stable woman, and surprisingly she isn’t one to hold a grudge. This is seen by how she is unshaken by Mizuki for holding her at knife-point in the long-term and never blaming him. Secretly though, Tae does feel a lot of guilt herself. She tells Aoba that ‘she felt dead inside’ when she found out that her research was being used for evil. Tae knows many of the crimes against humanity that Toue has committed were only made possible through her research, and she lives with that burden. She also apologises profusely to her grandson and his love interests for getting them involved with Morphine and Toue Inc after they rescued her. While she never lets guilt consume her, she carries her burden and keeps many secrets. However, it can be seen Tae tends to focus on the future and works hard to move forward with her work in Midorijima and how she cares for Aoba. She perseveres through the hardships of her life, and she does it well.
